Kindles, Books, and Programs

Great news—Kindle® owners can now borrow e-books from the Library’s virtual collection.  This addition is just the latest service that New Canaan Library offers you.  You can read the latest best seller as an e-book, download music, take a course, and learn a language—all just by visiting the Library’s website. But how is it that we can offer you so much online content?

Each year, the Library’s Annual Appeal raises the necessary funds to maintain and grow its extensive collection, both physical and virtual.  Your donation gives the entire community access to this great resource.  While I have mentioned the virtual content, your gifts also provide the actual content, including the Book Group collection, Great Courses, as well as best-sellers, self-help, cookbooks, and so much more.  The excellent programs, the Kindles and Nooks for checkout, the computer classes—all of these are available to all generations of New Canaan because of you.

This October, we invite you to join our Annual Appeal by giving to your Library.  With a gift of $100, you are not only buying 10 new picture books or 2 ebook titles, but you are helping create a great community resource used by all ages.
