This beautiful life -- When their 15-year-old son Jake forwards a sexually explicit video of a 13-year-old girl to his friends, which then goes viral, the Bergamots find their social and professional lives in jeopardy and decide to fight back, resulting in disastrous consequences that catch them completely off guard.
Ideal man -- While jogging in a park nearby Dr. Ellie Sullivan witnesses the fatal shooting of an FBI agent in pursuit of wanted criminals. She is targeted by a shadowy criminal couple called the Landrys, and, as the only person to see the shooter's face, Ellie is suddenly at the center of a criminal investigation. After Agent Max Daniels takes over the Landry case he pledges to protect Ellie until she takes the witness stand. The two of them find their close quarters leading to passionate feelings. He's definitely not the ideal man that Ellie has always imagined, yet she's attracted to him in a way she can't explain.
Magician king -- Quentin and his friends are now the kings and queens of Fillory, but the days and nights of royal luxury are starting to pall. After a morning hunt takes a sinister turn, Quentin and his old friend Julia charter a magical sailing ship and set out on an errand to the wild outer reaches of their kingdom. Their pleasure cruise becomes an adventure when the two are unceremoniously dumped back into the last place Quentin ever wants to see: his parent's house in Chesterton, Massachusetts. And only the black, twisted magic that Julia learned on the streets can save them.
Lantern -- Drawn to an older man, Eve embarks on a whirlwind romance that soon offers a new life and a new home--Les Genevriers, an old house in a charming hamlet amid the fragrant lavender fields of Provence. Among the wonderful -- Presents a fictional account of Barnum's American Museum as taxidermist Emile Guillaudeu and professional giantess Ana Swift tries to adjust to the changes Barnum brings to the natural history museum and to their lives.
Girls in white dresses -- Attending an endless series of bridal showers for their friend Kristi, three bridesmaids struggle with private challenges, including Isabella's unhappiness at a job where she is nevertheless very successful, Mary's relationship with a man who prioritizes his mother, and Lauren's attraction to a man she despises.
Death and the maiden -- Dogged by internal dissension and by a potentially devastating lawsuit from its fired second violinist, the famed New Magini String Quartet is on the brink of professional and personal collapse. The quartet pins its hopes on a multi-media Carnegie Hall performance of Franz Schubert's masterpiece, "Death and the Maiden," to resurrect its faltering fortunes. But as the fateful downbeat approaches, a la Agatha Christie, one by one the quartet's musicians mysteriously vanish, including second violinist, Yumi Shinagawa, former student of renowned blind pedagogue and amateur sleuth, Daniel Jacobus. It is left up to the begrudging Jacobus, with his old friend, Nathaniel Williams, and a new member of the detective team, Trotsky the bulldog, to unravel the deadly puzzle.
In the sea there are crocodiles -- An unflinching, inspirational, and incredibly moving novel based on the true story of Enaiatollah Akbari, a young boy whose agonizing struggle begins after his native Afghanistan becomes a dangerous place to live. His mother shepherds him across the border into Pakistan but has to leave him there to fend for himself.
Hand that trembles -- Years after the mysterious disappearance of a Swedish county commissioner, a veteran police officer stumbles on a seemingly unrelated case while Ann Lindell investigates the murder of a woman in a housing development populated by single men.
Three maids for a crown -- Sixteen-year-old Jane Grey is a quiet and obedient young lady destined to become the shortest reigning English monarch. Her beautiful middle sister Katherine Grey charms all the right people--until loyalties shift. And finally Lady Mary Grey, a dwarf with a twisted spine whose goal is simply to protect people she loves--but at a terrible cost.
