Teen Review: Columbine by Dave Cullen
When you log your reading for our teen summer reading club, you can write a review of what you've read. This is one of those reviews.
Columbine is an intriguing book that shows you the truth about the massacre at Columbine High School. It takes you step-by-step through the events that took place that day and the events happening leading up and afterwards. It's a gripping story because it takes you into the lives of two average-looking high school boys, but in reality they were a threat. You get to read firsthand accounts from witnesses and quotes written by the killers themselves. It's more than a story about a tragedy: it lets you see how a community grows and comes out of a horrible event. Columbine is a very informative book that is written in a way that is not boring and is very interesting. Many of the things that I read I found very shocking. I could almost not believe that something like this could happen in a high school. As a high school student it struck a nerve.
