The James A. Creedon Bequest
New Canaan Library received a generous bequest from the estate of longtime patron and volunteer, James M. Creedon. The bequest, totalling over $4 million dollars, is the largest estate gift ever received by the Library.
Jim visited the Library nearly every day, in all kinds of weather, to read the paper, visit with the staff and volunteers who were his friends, and to help around the building. He loved to share ideas about libraries and books and the joys of reading. The Library was his second home and he was a great friend to all of us.
