The New Canaan Library has two new volunteers to head up the Library Book Sale.

Thanks to the generous commitment of time and talent of these volunteers, we are now once again able to accept donations of books for our book sales.

The book sales are an important component in our fundraising efforts .  The monies raised through the sales supplement funding from the Town of New Canaan and from private donations to our Annual appeal, allowing us to continue to offer a range of quality services to all New Canaan residents.

Please donate your used books for the New Canaan Library Book. Donations can be dropped off in the Library's Lower Level Lobby.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with the Book Sale. If you are interested in helping with this important event, contact one of our book sale coordinators at or

The Friends of New Canaan Library Book Sale, dedicated to the memory of long-time volunteer John Randolph, is the Friends’ principal fundraising activity, which raises money for a variety programs at the Library, including Summer Reading programs for children, art exhibits, film discussions, and the popular Notes in MidWinter concerts.

The next book sale takes place June 6 - June 8, 2014.
