Now, four days without power and counting

New Canaan Library now feels like Grand Central Station as many of you have been without power for four days and counting.  Every nook and cranny is filled with fellow residents who need to check email, print boarding passes and voter registration forms, charge up devices and catch up with friends.

Zumbach's has provided coffee for the past three days!  Everyone in town is pulling together.  The Office of Emergency Management, the police, the road crews, and numerous others have been working as hard as possible to make the best of a bad situation.

Staff is working 150% to ensure you have a pleasant visit here, even though most are without power and many have to deal with their own wreckage at home.  But we are happy to say that we have been able to extend hours (we will be open to 8:00 p.m. on Friday) and plan daily showing of family friendly movies.
