September is National Library Card Month!

September is many things—the return from vacation to home, the beginning of another new school year, and a time to re-connect with friends at the Literary Lunch on September 13.  But it also is National Library Card Month. 

A library card is a key resource in achieving academic success, and the library is the perfect place to spend quality family time together.  This year we are going to introduce you to all of our wonderful services. You are invited to a special Open House in the Children’s Room on September 22 from 1:30 to 3:30.  Come and enjoy all the fun the room has to offer. Crafts for the children, tours for parents, demo of kids website & Tumblebooks on our SMART Board, refreshments & musical entertainment presented by Half Moon Magic!

This year, Troy Polamalu, safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers, joins us as Honorary Chair of Library Card Sign-up Month.
