April 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm

Location: Lamb Room

The country is having a dry spell, but New Canaan is flush with knowledge and enthusiasm about water conservation. This Earth Day learn about the drought affecting our region in an informative presentation by an Aquarian Water company representative. Additionally, kids from the New Canaan Parents 4 Kids organization’s Young Entrepreneurs program will explain the various projects they’ve been working on to raise awareness about the drought, such as measuring rainfall and creating communal art, as well ideas they have about how to conserve water. The Young Entrepreneurs will also demonstrate how New Canaan gets its water supply using a working model of the surrounding area’s water system. Children in attendance will be welcomed to help decorate the water supply model, and copy the word for “water” in different languages after the demonstration. Fun erasers shaped like cats and dogs will be given out to as prizes for kids who participate.
