10 Things You Never Knew About Your Blood Type
Dr. Peter D’Adamo, top naturopath and author of the New York Times best-selling diet book Eat Right for Your Type, will present an informational talk on Thursday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room.
In this lecture, “10 Things You Never Knew About Your Blood Type," Dr. D'Adamo will discuss 10 little-known facts about one of the most important markers of genetic individuality --your blood type. He will discuss how different blood types have different dietary needs; how the genetics of blood type may shape your reaction to stress; why blood type can influence our susceptibility to certain diseases, and how blood type may even control which bacteria coexist inside our digestive tracts. A second-generation naturopathic doctor, Dr. Peter D'Adamo has been practicing naturopathic medicine for over 30 years. Best known for his research on human blood groups and nutrition, Dr. D'Adamo is a well-respected researcher in the field of natural products and the academic dean of the Institute for Human Individuality. He is the director of the new Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine at the University of Bridgeport. Dr. D'Adamo is the recipient of the 1990 AANP Physician of the Year Award for his role in the creation of the Journal of Naturopathic Medicine.
