Annual Meeting of the New Canaan Library Association
[June 28, 2011]—The New Canaan Library Association will hold its annual business meeting on Tuesday, July 10 at 6:30 pm in the Adrian Lamb Room. The Summer Theatre of New Canaan will open the evening on a lively note with a preview of its current production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The annual business meeting offers a unique forum in which to review and discuss the Library’s activities, ratify the updated bylaws, as well an opportunity for the Library to recognize and thank donors for their contributions. The Association’s membership includes individuals who have made gifts of time, money, or property throughout the preceding year. In addition, new and returning trustees are elected to a three-year term. On the slate this year are Kirby Hoeft, Colleen Baldwin, James B. Duffy, Christian LeBris, Martin P. McLaughlin, Sr., and Kajsa Sheibley.
The Library is a registered 501 [c] non-profit organization and is a funding partnership with the Town of New Canaan. Along with a generous grant for operating expenses from the Town, the Library relies on private contributions to sustain and develop programs and to expand collections. Accordingly, all donors are invited and encouraged to attend the annual meeting.
Refreshments will be served in the H. Pelham Curtis Gallery after the meeting concludes.
