Art Opening: Joan Giordano

Welcome to the reception of Joan Giordano's exhibit at the Library!
 
Joan Giordano has enjoyed nearly thirty solo shows and has taken part in countless group exhibitions nationally and internationally.
 
Just a few of the many collections of which her works are part of are: The Hammond Museum, North Salem, NY; The Housatonic Museum of Art, CT; The Henry Buhl collection, NY; The New York Public Library Print Collection; The Awagami Museum Hall of Awa, Tokushima, Japan;                                                  
She is the recipient of awards and honors including a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, and residencies at YADDO in Saratoga Springs, NY; the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in Sweet Briar, VA; Women's Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY; Awagami Paper International in Tokushima, Japan and Conversations in Contemporaneity @ Castle DeViti De Marco, Casamella, Italy.
 
Joan lives and works in New York City and in Upstate, NY.  Awarded a graduate fellowship to Hunter College of the City University of New York, she received an MFA from Pratt Institute, Bklyn, studied painting at the Art Students League in NYC and Woodstock and lithography with Bob Blackburn at the Printmaking Workshop, NYC.
