Authors on Stage With Cara Eisenpress and Phoebe Lapine
Few friendships stand up to the test of time, and even fewer begin with a recipe. For Cara Eisenpress and Phoebe Lapine, there was no other way it could have been. A cookie bake-off in the 7th grade sealed their friendship, and, lucky for us, the pair have been cooking together ever since. From the creators of biggirlssmallkitchen.com, comes In the Small Kitchen: 100 Recipes From Our Year of Cooking in the Real World, a voice-driven, full-color cookbook filled with delicious and resourceful recipes for daily cooking and entertaining on a budget. This essential cookbook is organized by need — cooking for one, for brunch, for dates, or for friends and family — and chock-full of advice on everything from how to stock your pantry and penny-wise shopping tips to BYOB etiquette and date night do’s and don’ts.
More than just a collection of recipes, In the Small Kitchen invites readers into the lives of these two ambitious young women as they grow from newly minted college grads to savvy chefs and experienced entertainers, sharing their hilarious forays into adulthood. A cookbook for kitchen novices and seasoned home cooks alike, In the Small Kitchen is a guide to getting in the habit of cooking for yourself and for others and of making your kitchen a place you want to be.
