College Information Night
The college admissions process can be a daunting but exciting time for teens and their families. From resume building to college visit planning, to college selection, interview strategies and essay writing, the process can appear overwhelming. It’s difficult to know where to start.
To address these issues, the New Canaan Library is hosting a free college information night, co-sponsored by Chyten Educational Services. The information session will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Chyten’s owner and director, Barbara Levine, and Chyten’s college counselor, Nancy Feigin, will be there to answer your questions and provide insights into the process. Topics to be discussed include:
- Creating the Perfect College List
- Managing College Visits
- Standardized tests: SAT vs. ACT?
- High School Curriculum – What are colleges looking for?
- Making the Interview Work
- The Application Process
- Essay Strategies
- Early Decision/Early Action
Registration is required in order to attend. To register, call the Library at (203) 594-5040 or send an email to email@example.com. Light refreshments will be served.
