First-Time Author Jill Sawyer

Jill Sawyer, author of Metro-Line to Murder, will speak at the New Canaan Library on Thursday, February 16, at noon in the Adrian Lamb Room. Ms. Sawyer will discuss the writing process and her book. A luncheon will be served.

Sawyer Metro-Line coverart.JPGJill Sawyer received her BA in philosophy and psychology at Sarah Lawrence College, an MAT at Manhattanville College, and an MA at Western Connecticut State University.  She taught at New Canaan High School and lives in Norwalk, Conn., where she gained certification as a volunteer for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center and serves as a volunteer tutor at the Center for Global Studies.

Several of her essays have been published in The New York Times and local newspapers.  Her recent interest has turned to fiction: short stories, poetry, and this, her first novel.
