Tess and Mark Szamatulski started selling home brewing supplies by mail in 1991. Since then their business, Maltose Express has grown and they now have a 7000 square foot store in Monroe Connecticut, which is the largest store in the Northeast. They are the authors of two of the best-selling beer recipe books, Clone Brews
, Second Edition and Beer Captured
. Mark and Tess have been filmed for the Discovery Channel's series "How Things Work" and have been featured on Time.com. Their beers have garnered many awards in home brew competitions.
