Hiker Jennifer Pharr Davis Shares Stories of Her Adventures with Kids

National Geographic's 2012 Peoples' Choice Adventurer second place finisher, Jennifer Pharr Davis, will lead a program for kids of all ages about hiking on Wednesday, July 3 at 3:30 p.m.  Jennifer holds the world's record for the fasted through-hike of the Applachian Trail: 2,185 miles in 46 days!  She has written two books about her adventures, and currently runs the Blue Ridge Hiking Co.

She will share with you and your kids her stories about hiking in the wilderness, the joys of being in nature, and the fun of exploring.  She'll also tell you about the animals she encounters, from lizards, to bears, and even kangaroos!
