Thinking about starting your own business? Or are you just starting, but are having trouble getting it off the ground? Presented in partnership with the Library, SCORE's Simple Steps For Starting Your Business series is designed to avoid start-up pitfalls and put you on the road to success. Save yourself time, mistakes and money by learning from seasoned SCORE professionals.

The first session takes place on Tuesday, February 11 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. It will cover what is involved in starting a small business - the challenges,the opportunities and the requirements. It is meant to help people decide whether they really want to start their own business. The remaining four sessions will focus on the key fundamentals of running a business, including marketing strategy, financial planning and funding. You will also have the opportunity to meet with and ask questions of successful entrepreneurs.  The class schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, February11: Entrepreneur Self-Assessment / Business Plan
Tuesday, February 18: Marketing Strategy
Tuesday, February 25: Marketing Implementation
Tuesday, March 4: Financial Planning and Reporting
Thursday, March 13: Funding Sources / Conversations with Entrepreneurs
