Armchair travelers and true globetrotters alike will enjoy hearing some exotic travel tales from Susan Farewell, one of the most recognized names in travel media and journalism. The founder of Farewell Travels, Susan has a long history as a traveler. Beginning as a child in a family who traveled a great deal, she broadened her horizons as a student studying abroad, and then went on to become a professional travel journalist and writer. Today she has broadened her role as a member of the travel media by adding the role of travel concierge, creating unique trips for her clientele of sophisticated, worldly travelers.

Ms.Farewell is a former travel editor at The Condé Nast Publications; her  travel stories have appeared in numerous publications including Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, Gourmet, Cooking Light, Travel & Leisure, Outside, and Metropolitan Home, among others. She has also contributed to newspapers such as The New York Times and The New York Post, national newsletters and numerous in-flight and regional magazines. She is the author of several travel books including How to Make a Living as a Travel Writer, Hidden New England and Quick Escapes from New York City (the latter two have had multiple editions). Susan is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers, the New York Travel Writers, North American Snowsports Journalists and the American Society of Travel Agents.
