Wine Tasting Benefit at the Library

Category: Fundraising Event
Location: Adrian Lamb Room

Three flights of wine from Davis Family Vineyards in California’s Russian River Valley, a 2009 Cuvee Luke, a 2008 Pinot Noir and a 2008 Russian River Valley Syrah, were served with delectable cheeses and other delicacies from Darien Cheese and Fine Foods at a wine tasting to benefit the library on Friday, April 8.  Vineyard owner and master winemaker Guy Davis and shop proprietor Ken Skovron led the discussion of pairing these fine wines with food, enjoyed by the 80 people in attendance.

Guests at the event had the opportunity to win a magnum of Davis Family Vineyard wine and a food basket from Darien Cheese and Fine Foods.  As the food and wine were donated by the sponsoring purveyors and other individuals, the wine tasting raised nearly $5,000 for the library.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success.  We are looking forward to offering all of you similar opportunities for enjoying and supporting the library in the future.
