Without Borders: The International Face of Cancer, Photographs & Stories of Cancer Survivors
The Connecticut Challenge and the New Canaan Public Library are pleased to present "Without Borders: The International Face of Cancer -- Photographs and Stories of Cancer Survivors From Around the World," by Carolyn Taylor. The program will take place on June 2nd, from 7 to 9 p.m., in the Adrian Lamb Room.
Carolyn Taylor was an accomplished photographer in the middle of her career when she was diagnosed with ovarian and endometrial cancers in 2006. Inspired by her own ordeal and the experiences of other cancer survivors, Carolyn won a grant from British Airways to photograph people living with cancer around the globe. Her goal with this project is to show how all people living with cancer are intrinsically linked. Learn more about her project at www.carolyntaylorphotography.com/blog
Established in 2005, the mission of the CT Challenge is to empower cancer survivors to live longer, happier, healthier lives. We do this by creating and funding unique programs, offering credible resources and building a community of support. To date over $5 million has been raised to support programs that benefit cancer survivors, primarily through the annual CT Challenge Bike Ride. Learn more at www.CTChallenge.org
