Friends of the Library
The Friends of the New Canaan Library volunteer their time,
talents, and fundraising efforts to support the library staff
and expand and enhance the library's range of programs and
services to the community.

| THE NEW CANAAN LIBRARY BOOK
SALES are made possible by generous book donations
from members of the New Canaan and nearby communities,
and by volunteer efforts fo the Friends of the Library.
Proceeds from three annual sales (the Friends' principal
fund-raising activity) enable the library to present-- |

ART SHOWS throughout the year. Organized by
a volunteer art committee, these shows exhibit the works
of nationally known, as well as local, artists.

year-round, ranging from craft-making and story-telling

"NOTES IN MID-WINTER"
AND OUTDOOR SUMMER CONCERTS feature professional soloists
and small chamber ensembles, with occasional ragtime,
folk, jazz or band performances.

| OTHER FRIENDS-FUNDED
PROJECTS have included purchase of children's room
computers, library book-trucks and furniture, costs of
attending staff education seminars and Staff Appreciation
projects, such as the recent refurbishment of the staff
