Friends of the New Canaan Library Music Committee

Information for artists interested in performing at the Library:

The Music Committee of the Friends of the New Canaan Library presents the Notes in Mid-Winter Series on Sundays at 2 pm in January. Please note - those concerts take place in January only! We ask that the programs last 75 – 80 minutes total. We present classical concerts, and one alternative program (folk, jazz, etc). We also present one outdoor, non-classical program in June.

The concerts take place in The Adrian Lamb Room, which has a wooden stage (dimensions: 10’ x 28’) The Library has a Steinway baby grand piano, model L, built in 1972, which is tuned for each program. The hall holds 200 people.

If an artist is interested in appearing, they should mail or email materials including bio, CD sample, information on upcoming performances, and their desired fee to the Music Committee to the attention of:

Lauren Phillips at the New Canaan Library, (151 Main Street New Canaan, CT 06840) or email those materials to: lphillips@newcanaanlibrary.org

Decisions on Notes in Midwinter artists are not made until after our budget is approved in July. The June concert is set after March.
