Public Access PCs
The Library has 19 public access desktop computers in the adult section as well as 8 in the children's library with high-speed fiber optic access to the Internet. Software includes Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe Photoshops Elements, and Adobe Reader. Public PCs are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and cannot be reserved in advance. Each PC has a DVD/rewritable disc drive.
PCs are wiped clean on every reboot, so there is no permenant storage. However, users can temporarily store documents in the "Public Access Folder" located on the desktop of all public PCs with the understanding that it will be lost if the computer is rebooted.
Printing is available on all public access computers through a print managment system. The release station for all print jobs is located in the Adult Tech Center. The library offers both black & white (.10/per copy) as well as color printing (.50/per copy).
Laptop users can wirelessly print to a release station located behind the reference desk. The jobs are released by the Librarian. To print wirelessly from a laptop, the appropriate app must be installed (PC/Mac) which can be downloaded from our Website. Currently we do not offer printing from tablets or smartphones.
