Book Group Collection

Reading is flourishing. What better way to relax, to be educated, enlightened and entertained? Book Clubs and the discussion of books are important to the Library and our readers.

  • The Library-sponsored discussions provide a forum for people interested in books and reading. These groups include the Reader's Choice Book Discussion Group, and the Friends Book Talk.
  • They make available the opportunity for readers who want to share their enthusiasm for a title, author or topic.
  • Members of the community enjoy the social interaction of the programs.
  • The titles selected and added to the Book Group Collection are displayed and made available to all Library patrons
  • The Book Group Collection serves as a Reader's Advisory tool for staff. It also works as a wonderful introduction to quality classic and popular literature.
  • Private book groups in the community may request multiple copies of a title. The Library will purchase these titles and add them to the Book Group Collection.
  • A list of titles has been prepared for book groups to assist in selecting titles for discussion.
