Computers & Printers

The Library has 25 public access computers with high-speed Internet access, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint. Each also has Publisher, Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Reader and a CD Burner. One computer is connected toa scanner. All computers are networked to a black/white laser printer and a laser color printer. B/W printouts are $.10 each, color $.50. There is a one hour time limit on computer use when they are very busy. No library card is required. The Library offers several computer classes.

Laptop & Wireless Adapters

Wireless access is available throughout the Library. A laptop and wireless adapters are available for use in the Library. Patrons must have a valid New Canaan Library card to use them. For more information click here

Copiers & Fax Machines

The Library has two coin-operated black/white copy machines. Copies are $.10 each. The Reference Desk Librarians will fax materials at the rate of $1.00 per page. Faxes may not be received.

Audiovisual

Patrons can listen to music CD's and books on CD on public access computers. The Library does not supply headphones. Please bring your own to fit a standard size headphone jack. Facilities for individual patrons to view movies (video or DVD) are available on a limited basis. Please call the Reference Desk at 594-5003.

Microfilm Reader

The Library has a microfilm reader/printer. Prints are $.10 each.
