Memoir Writing Fall 2012
New Canaan Library is pleased to continue its tradition of supporting the creative writing process. Members of the Library-sponsored Memoir Writing Workshop meet on the second Wednesday of the month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon through May, to craft stories and to write about pivotal moments in their lives. This is the group’s fourth year of exchanging ideas, critiquing each other’s work, lending moral support, and listening to each other’s stories. They share, discuss, and publish (see below) some of their most treasured memories. As he has for the three previous years, local resident and published author, Roger Langevin, will lead the Workshop again this year.
The Memoir Writing Workshop is open to the public and anyone with an interest in learning how to write a memoir is invited to join the group as they embark on what promises to be another exciting season of writing. The Workshop is just one of the ways in which New Canaan Library strives to provide stimulating programs for the entire community.
