Where will your card take you?

The theme of our summer reading program 2012 is as wide ranging as the places you will travel or visit.  In addition to book discussion and talks, the program will offer film screenings, opportunities to record your cultural experiences, computer classes, author visits and much more.  A new feature this year will be the opportunity to share your photos of your library card globetrotting the world either during an armchair adventure or an in-person exploit.  We will post these on our HistoryPin channel where you can track your card or the cards of your friends everyday!

 

 

 

 

1. If you visit a location near or far, snap it!

Take a picture of an identifying landmark with your library card.

Submit the photo with its address, city, state and country.

Include your first name and last initial.

2. If you read a book about a great place, snap it!

Take a picture of the cover art and your library card.

3. If you read a book in a great place, snap it!

Take a picture of the cover art, the card and an identifying landmark where you read the book.

4. If you experience a cultural event, concert or performance, snap it!

Take a picture of your card having fun at this event.

Take your library card on a mini vacation with you by reading a book on a beach, in a park or right on your front porch.  Don’t forget it when you visit a cultural or literary landmark, attend a concert, visit a museum, or anything that transports you! Then Snap It!
