Thank You to Our Donors

This year, more than ever before, New Canaan Library was the essential place to connect, discover, and grow. Every moment of every day revealed the rewards of our mission to be the cultural and intellectual center of our community. The Library thrived due to the generous support of our patrons.

From daily programs for children and adults of all ages, to sell-out annual lecture series, we were able to meet curiosity with content. We developed our collections to meet changing needs and offered over 25,000 books in various eformats. Over 500,000 items were borrowed and over 34,000 patrons attended programs.

Thanks to our donors, we were also ready in a time of need, to provide support to thousands of residents seeking wireless connectivity, family-friendly activity, and a warm shelter following Hurricane Sandy. Improved and expanded parking in the new DeCew Lot ensured we were an accessible resource to all.

New Canaan Library is a public-private funding partnership. Your support bridges the gap between the Town’s contribution to our operating budget and the total funding we require to deliver the services and collections so important to our community.

Gifts to the Library last year made the difference between a good library and a great one this year! If you have not yet had the opportunity, please take a moment today to give to this year’s Annual Challenge. Join us again as we strive to reach our funding goal of $410,000 and continue to be the best we can be.

Thank you again for your support!
