Local Author Elise Walters Presents the Tentyrian Legacy
Vampires, mythology and ancient cultures make for riveting reading, and Elise Walters offers a debut novel encompassing all those and more. Ms. Walters will speak about her novel The Tentyrian Legacy at the Library on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 7 PM. The event is co-sponsored by Elm Street Books and will be held in the Adrian Lamb Room.
The Tentyrian Legacy begins in the sands of Egypt; it is 53 B.C; the setting is the ancient city of Tentyris, ruled by the Council of the Zodiac who govern a peaceful secretive society. Fast forward to the present, and all that remains is a vague history of the time, tainted by folklore of vampires and astrology. But a young woman is about to discover the truths of that folklore. Ariana Parker always knew she was different - possessing telepathic powers that landed her briefly in a mental institution. Now a chance job interview leads her to her discovery that she descends from the ancient Egyptian vampire race that has been all but forgotten. Ariana’s love affair with 2,225 year old vampire Maximos and his quest to enlist her help in saving the world from a catastrophic event creates compelling reading on other-worldly themes.
