New Canaan Library Annual Membership Meeting

New Canaan Library hereby gives notice that its Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. via live videoconference.

The Library’s By-Laws recognize members as those individuals who have contributed money, time, or property to the Library during the preceding year. The Annual Membership Meeting is also open to the public. The Annual Membership Meeting offers an opportunity for members to hear about the Library’s operations during the past year. The meeting’s agenda will include remarks by Board President, Robert Butman, and Assistant Director, Cheryl Capitani. Tom Teles, Treasurer, will deliver a brief report on the Library’s preliminary financial results for FY2021.

New Canaan Library is an IRC Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and operates as a public/private partnership with the Town of New Canaan. While the Library receives an annual grant from the Town towards its operating expenses, the Library relies on private donors for funds to maintain its building and grounds and to meet its remaining operating expenses for the development of programs, the expansion of collections and the institution of services.
