January 11 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Location: Children’s Program Room

The ABCs of Child Behavior: Understanding What Your Child Isn’t Saying is a presentation intended for parents of young & school-aged children, created from an Applied Behavior Analysis perspective.

All behavior is communicative, but often parents feel at a loss for the “why” behind their children’s actions.  To grasp the hidden reasons for various behaviors we need to look at the Antecedents, Behavior and Consequences (ABCs).  Using these tools, parents will be given the means to explain strange behaviors from tantrums to outright defiance.

They will learn how to determine their children’s underlying needs and how best to meet them in an effective, adaptive and socially valid manner by referencing research-based strategies.  Please register ONLINE.
