ARTicipation for Adults: Futurism
April 20, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Please join us for this in-person art workshop on Wednesday, April 20th from 3-5pm.
ArtScapades is one of our most popular and long-standing annual series, delivering art history lectures on historically important artists, styles, and periods in art. To build on the topics taught in ArtScapades, we introduce ARTicipation, a new series of art workshops inspired by ArtScapades lectures. We highly suggest attending the ArtScapades lecture prior to the workshop for the best experience.
In this workshop, the instructor will provide images for visual reference that the group may use to change into energetic and dynamic works of art using repetition, lines and spirals to convey dynamism. Attendees have the option of bringing in their own reference if they prefer.
About the instructor: Jeanne McDonagh is a digital arts teacher and artist who recently retired from a 32-year career at New Canaan High School where she taught AP Studio Art 2D Design, Photoshop Design, Advanced Digital Media, Intro to Photography, and Documentary Photography. Ms. McDonagh, who considers herself a “lifelong learner,” earned a BA, BS from Saint John’s University and an MFA in Painting and Graphic Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition to her teaching career, Jeanne McDonagh has exhibited her photography at Mystic Museum of Art, Fairfield Museum, and Carriage Barn Arts Center
