From American to Expatriate: The Road to Modern Art

The series begins with Artists Abroad: From American to Expatriate which looks at four American artists, Mary Cassatt, Theodore Robinson, James McNeill Whistler, and John Singer Sargent, who, despite their expatriate status, are among America’s greatest talents.

Approximately a dozen works per artist are discussed including iconic works and those that illustrate significant trends and events in their lives and careers.
