Authors @ NCL: Daisy Khan presents Born with Wings

October 4, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Location: Lamb Room

In Born With Wings, Daisy Khan tells the story of what she was able to accomplish once she set aside other people’s pre-conceived notions of who Muslim women are and realized her own power. This power led her down many paths and Born With Wings weaves those many aspects of her life together: “my childhood in Kashmir, my time as an architectural designer in New York City searching for my spiritual path, the ‘Ground Zero Mosque’ controversy, my work in interfaith bridge-building, promoting women’s rights around the world and changing perceptions about American Muslims.” Daisy Khan is now on a mission to travel across the country to start honest and relevant conversations about the place of faith, spirituality, feminism, and activism in our daily lives.
