Panelists: Carola Lovering, Jill Santopolo and Beatriz Williams

This panel examines challenges specific to writing women’s fiction, one of the hottest and most consistently successful literary genres. During the session you’ll find out what it took for each author to break through, what makes women’s fiction distinct, and hear each author discuss their own works. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask your own questions of the panelists.

Carola Lovering attended Colorado College, and her work has appeared in W Magazine, National Geographic, Outside, and Yoga Journal, among other publications. Tell Me Lies is her first novel. She currently lives in Brooklyn.

 

Jill Santopolo is the author of three successful children’s and young-adult series and works as the editorial director of Philomel Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers group, where she’s edited books by Mayim Bialik, Chelsea Clinton, among others. An adjunct professor in The New School’s MFA program, Jill travels the world to speak about writing and storytelling.

 

Beatriz Williams is the bestselling author of eight novels. A native of Seattle, she graduated from Stanford University and earned an MBA in finance from Columbia university, then spent several years in New York and London as a corporate strategy consultant before pursuing her passion for historical fiction.
