Imagine being able to predict an injury before it happened in a soccer game. Imagine being able to improve your golf swing in seconds with a smartphone app that analyzed your swing in real time. Did you know that we can even use technology to track and mitigate public health threats at stadiums? These are just a few examples of the power of artificial intelligence and sports, and it’s only the beginning!

What is artificial intelligence and machine learning and how do they differ? Why is sports and entertainment a particularly interesting sector for AI and ML? Techies and sports fans alike can get excited about this emerging tech lecture that will answer these questions and more. Presented by Ted Hayduck, PhD, Clinical Assistant Professor at the Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport at New York University.
