Exercises in Conservation Awareness

Currently, turtles are one of the most endangered vertebrate species. Tim will be presenting on highlights from the Florida Turtle Conservation Trust’s conservation education initiative, The Big Turtle Year. He will also give an overview of the turtles found in Connecticut, and tell how you can become involved with the Bruce Museum citizen science project, The Connecticut Turtle Atlas. Those interested in recording turtle observations on their smartphones will gain insight on how to use the iNaturalist app, as well!
