How to Sift Through All the Fads and Get to the Facts

There is healthy eating – and then there is an unhealthy obsession with eating the narrowest group of foods that one has deemed acceptable. The constant barrage of articles and information regarding what is – and isn’t – considered healthy, the inclination to self-diagnose and latch onto specific diets to ease medical issues, and the desire to lose weight have all contributed to what is increasingly being recognized as an unhealthy eating pattern, or disordered eating. Moderators of the discussion are Lauren Wingen, certified Health Coach and founder of 80/20 Wellness, and Kristin Schnitzler, RD, MS, Wellness Director acurnd dietician, New Canaan Library.
