Are you interested in emerging technologies? Are you looking to make new friends? Visit the Library to ‘talk tech’ at this new meetup. Semi-monthly meetups will include informal, guided discussion focused on an emerging technology found in libraries, an innovate technology on the horizon, or tech featured in a TV show or film. This month’s discussion topic: Big Tech & Filter Bubbles.
We will watch a brief Ted Talk that covers the negative consequences of big tech companies and smart devices knowing our search behavior and preferences too well. Snacks and discussion will follow.
