Ice Cream Making Workshop with Chef and Librarian Samantha Connell
April 13, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for this live in-person program on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00PM in the Curtis Gallery.
Making your own ice cream is not only satisfying in terms of culinary skills – it also lets you create your own custom flavors! Join chef and librarian Samantha Connell for this hands-on class, as you learn how to make a basic stirred custard. By creating a liaison of egg yolks and heavy cream you will create a Crème Anglaise—a versatile sauce and a classic ice cream base. During the workshop Chef Samantha will also discuss different ice cream machines, and freezing and spinning techniques. This workshop is intended for adults ages 18 and older.
