
Introduction to Coding Electronics

Get started with microcontrollers in this introductory class. We will learn to read a schematic to properly connect the electronic components and then program the Arduino to control sensors, lights and servos. No coding experience is required. We will use M-Block, a Scratch-like programming software to get started then transition from visual scripting to writing code. For rising 5th graders and older.

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for anyone making interactive projects. Arduino senses the environment by receiving inputs from many sensors, and affects its surroundings by controlling lights, motors, and other actuators. You can tell your Arduino what to do by writing code in the Arduino programming language and using the Arduino development environment.
