Introduction to Python for Grades 5-8
November 11, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until November 25, 2020

This 3 session class will introduce students to the basics of Python. We will meet Wednesdays, November 11, 18, and 25 from 7-8 PM. This is a hands on workshop using Zoom and repl.it, a website that allows collaborative coding. Each week will cover coding concepts such as variables, loops and conditionals with a related project. Students will follow along with the instructor to write and run their own code. This class is taught by Kaan Savasoglu. Kaan is a 10th grader at St. Luke’s School and lives in New Canaan. He loves computers and has been coding since 6th grade. Kaan is proficient in Python and C++.
For 5-8 graders. Students should join the class from a computer or laptop (Windows, Mac or Chromebook).
