Learn to Code: Python Workshop for Teens

July 23, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 2:00 pm, repeating until July 27, 2018

Location: Plaut Room

Are you interested in learning more about Python? No, not the deadly snake but a professional programming language used by companies like YouTube and Facebook! Learning the Python language is like learning the rules of grammar for a spoken language. Join us for a weeklong class that will give you the tools to start your own Python projects—no prior programming experience required!

For ages 11-15. Registration is full—sign up for the waitlist here.

**PLEASE NOTE: Registrants must commit to attending all 5 sessions. Please bring a laptop if you have one (if not, the library can supply one for you) as well as a pen and notebook!

This class is taught by Nish Wangneo, a rising junior at Wilton High School. He recently launched a non-profit company called School of Code dedicated to getting more kids interested in technology. He currently volunteers his time teaching middle school students all over Fairfield County and providing technology support for local charities and non-profits.
