January 5, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Working in small teams, build and program an automaton using the library’s LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kits and cardboard and other crafting supplies. For this month’s challenge, explore motors and gears and motion as you construct your automaton. For ages 9+.
Did you know that the Library has LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kits always available for play in the MakerLab? The kits are kept on the tall shelf in yellow boxes. Students are welcome to take down the kits and build and program robots.
LEGO Mindstorms EV3 allow you to create and command your own robots. Use different LEGO elements such as a programmable brick, motors, sensors, and various LEGO parts to make your robotic creations come alive!
