Working in small teams, build and program a robot using the library’s LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kits. For this month’s challenge, your robot is faced with a real-world challenge: the astounding amount of litter on beaches. Build a robot that can collect trash. For rising 4th graders and older.

Did you know that the Library has LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kits always available for play in the MakerLab? The kits are kept on the tall shelf in yellow boxes. Students are welcome to take down the kits and build and program robots.

LEGO Mindstorms EV3 allow you to create and command your own robots. Use different LEGO elements such as a programmable brick, motors, sensors, and various LEGO parts to make your robotic creations come alive!
