LEGO Mindstorms Challenge: Math!
May 23, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Location: MakerLab

Working in small teams, build and program a robot using the library’s LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kits. For this month’s challenge, we will be exploring math concepts behind our robot’s movement. After building your robot, you team will need to calculate the expected distance the robot will travel based on the circumference of the wheels and the number of rotations of the motor. Then program the robot to test your calculations. For ages 9+.
Did you know that the Library has LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kits always available for play in the MakerLab? The kits are kept on the tall shelf in yellow boxes. Students are welcome to take down the kits and build and program robots.
LEGO Mindstorms EV3 allow you to create and command your own robots. Use different LEGO elements such as a programmable brick, motors, sensors, and various LEGO parts to make your robotic creations come alive!
