March 13 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Location: Plaut Room

Learn how to search and browse the Library of Congress’ Digital Collections in this thirty-minute crash course. The Library of Congress’ Digital Collections are physical objects from their holdings (i.e. photographs, correspondence, and more) which have been digitized so that anyone can view them online. Librarians, Eliana Baldino and Kayla Del Biondo, will demonstrate how to come up with appropriate search terms, and how to limit a search by subject, format, date, and more. In the spirit of One Book New Canaan’s 2019 title, Spare Parts by Joshua Davis, we will even research robotics, with mentions dating back to the 17th century.
