Please download a copy of Tom Joyce’s April 2020 report “Life After COVID: The Gradual Path to Restoring Public Health, Markets & The Economy” before the presentation HERE.

Join Tom Joyce, Managing Director and Capital Markets Strategist within Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Finance, as he discusses what we can expect in life post-COVID-19. As we transition toward a gradual “re-opening” in the weeks ahead, we contemplate what ‘the new normal’ may look like for individuals, businesses and economies globally.

By nature of its unique attributes, the COVID-19 virus has spread through more than 180 countries and all 50 US states in less than two months, the most rapid virus transmission in more than a century.  The subsequent broad-based stoppage of the US economy, with as much as 80-90% of the country retreating to containment, has driven US economic data to levels that are 20 standard deviations below average.  At the same time, the global fiscal and monetary response to bridge the shock has been the largest in history. Join Tom for his knowledgeable perspective on what the future might hold.

Tom Joyce is a Managing Director and Capital Markets Strategist within Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Finance division.  Based in New York, Tom heads a team that creates customized analytical content for multi-national US corporates and Fortune 500 companies. His team provides in depth analysis on the impact of economic, political, public policy and regulatory dynamics on the US credit, foreign exchange, rates and commodities markets.
Tom has nearly 25 years of Investment Banking experience at Lehman Brothers (10 years) and Deutsche Bank (14 years) in New York, London, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. Over the last 14 years, Tom created and built the Capital Markets Strategy role within Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank.
