From vistas of power to visions of delight, iconic French gardens not only reflect changes in taste and horticultural practices, but also reveal the spirit of their times. In a survey of remarkable gardens from Chenonceau to Villandry, the lecture will explore the changing nature of garden design from the 1500s to the early 20th century and the exceptional women behind these landscapes who imagined and inspired them.

She works in a variety of capacities at the Metropolitan Museum of Art giving public gallery talks and lectures in special exhibitions as well as the permanent collection,  teaching classes at the museum, and leading groups for Travel with the Met
