December 9 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location: MakerLab

Make a one-of-a-kind gift for a family member or friend. For week two of the MakerLab Gift series, create a custom jewelry pendant using the Cricut Air, an electronic cutting machine. For this project, you will cut out miniature shapes and text from paper to place in the pendant. Fill the pendant with a glossy medium and you have a durable and truly spectacular necklace!  The glossy medium takes up to three hours to dry. Participants are encouraged to leave their necklaces at the library to dry, but could carefully take their project with them. All supplies will be provided. Limit one pendant per participant.

This is a drop-in event. The project will take at least 15 minutes and up to an hour to complete. For ages 8-adult. Children ages 8-12 will need adult assistance.

Participant-made examples from previous classes.

This is part of a 3-part series featuring MakerLab projects that would make special gifts for family or friends.  On Saturday, December 2 we will be making light up holiday cards. On Saturday, December 16, we will be designing keychains to print on the 3D printers.
